My niece just loved it! Cant wait to see it at theatre!!

The story is adorable, and the games are SO MUCH FUN! My kids and I cant get enough of them. All of the games are a great time, but "Squirrel Bounce" will have kids AND adults glued to their screens trying to beat their score. What a great app! I cant wait for the movie!

The Nut Job is an adventurous story of a squirrels quest for getting food for his other furry friends. Excellent graphics and highlighted word feature in the text. Four fun games; whack a rat which is similar to whack a mole, squirrel bounce where you can use your eye hand coordination to bounce nuts into a bag, gone nuts is a puzzle style game where you sequence three or more in a row of the same nut, and acorn scramble for another fun eye hand coordination game while you toss nuts into a pipe! This app is loads of fun with so many options; story, coloring, games and a movie trailer too. The coloring option offers six pages plus a blank page for creating your own artwork. I love the color tools available; brush, crayon, chalk, spray paint and bucket (a fill in area option). Add stickers of your favorite Nut Job characters to your artistic creation. I definitely recommend this app.

This app is excellent for keeping kids entertained. Also, I think they are going to really like the movie as well. Great app!

This is a fun book plus-activity app based on the popular childrens movie. Surley Squirrel has gotten himself into a boatload of trouble with the other animals and schemes to get himself out of his predicament, while learning some lessons along the way. Great read along story and 4 fun, fun, fun games to play: Whack A Rat, Acorn Scramble, Squirrel Bounce, and Gone Nuts. The games are just right for this age level and your kids can be successful playing them! Also included is a coloring book and a trailer from the movie. This is a really nice app that kids will enjoy. As an SLP, I can even use it in therapy for language skills such as comprehension, sequencing, recall, vocabulary, wh and yes/no questions. Recommended!

I usually dont let my kids play games, but when I do I want the game to have content like this. Wholesome stuff, nothing violent or too silly. Im happy to know there is entertainment like this out there. I would have to recommend this game to any like minded parent.

An absolute steal at the launch promotional price of $.99, it is well worth its full price with a combination of an e-book, arcade style games, a coloring book, and even the movie trailer for the movie to come out next week. The book includes highlighted print as the story is read aloud, always a great feature for emergent readers. The games are lots of fun, from Whack a Rat, Acorn Scramble, Squirrel Bounce, and Gone Knots which may make games like Whack A Mole, Angry Birds, and Candy Crush. The coloring book has many tools allowing for a wider range of skills and talents. External links are protected and there are no IAPs. This app is sure to keep your child happy for a good long time. :-)

It is packed with many activities, including an eStory, arcade style games, coloring pages, and even a trailer you can watch for the upcoming movie. The eStory includes highlighted print as the story is read aloud, to help children follow along. The coloring pages are better quality than you will find in other apps, with multiple tools such as paint brushes, pencils and paint bucket to choose from. Erasing or undoing a mistake is easy for a child to figure out how to do. In fact, the whole app is very user friendly so your child should be able to work through everything without much help from a grown-up. There are 4 games to choose and all are fun. If your child likes games such as Whack-A-Mole and Angry Birds, he/she will love these: Whack a Rat, Acorn Scramble, Squirrel Bounce and Gone Nuts. Each game comes with directions that are quick and easy to understand, and read aloud. Parent options, help and access to other Cupcake Digital apps is only given by answering a question, so pre readers will not be able to access these sections. The graphics are bright and interesting, and true to the movie, with music and voices that are clear and amusing.

Great story, great graphics and even better game play. Its truly hard to find an app that I can play with my kids that doesnt make me want to kill my self... But I actually really enjoy sitting with my kids reading the story and playing the games to see who gets the highest score because the loser has to do extra chores... Dont tell the kids but I practice at night while they are sleeping so ill never have to set the table again....bahahaha

Wow, is this app fun! I cant pry my kids away from it...That is when Im not playing it myself! We love it and could play it for hours - I think its more fun than angry birds! I absolutely love this app and its a favorite for the whole family!

The kids cant put my iPhone down. And I love playing the games with them too! Is a 35 year old supposed to like kids Apps as much as I do? Clever and totally habit forming. Bravo again to Cupcake for Apps that are so easy to buy and my kids love.

Its all the fun of a kids feature film condensed into a great story with super graphics. After the story, which my kids read again and again, they are some terrific games that are really a hoot. Our whole family is eagerly awaiting the release of the movie. If its half as good as this app, well be going again and again! Thats why we are all nuts for The Nut Job.

We cant play Whack a Rat!!!! Or even the Coloring!!!! Every time you try and open either one of these, the App crashes. Please fix, my son is really looking forward to playing this. We dont buy many Apps, so please try and fix this for us.

It really refreshing when developers make apps that actually have something to do with the film and have original games. My kids fight over this one...well worth the .99 cents.
